Gutter Helmet Systems is excited to announce that we will be spending the next three months raising money for three Children's Hospitals in Baltimore, Maryland, Washington, DC and Pittsburgh, PA. Beginning on December 1, 2002, Gutter Helmet Systems will be making a $25 donation to the Children's Hospital location nearest you for every appointment booked. The donation program is slated to run for three months and is expected to raise close to $25,000 to help area children.

In the Baltimore area, the donations will be made to the Johns Hopkins Children's Center located in East Baltimore at 600 North Wolfe Street. Founded in 1912 as the children's hospital of the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, The Johns Hopkins Children's Center offers one of the most comprehensive pediatric medical programs in the country, from performing emergency trauma surgery, to finding causes of and treatments for childhood cancers, to delivering a child's good bill of health. With recognized Centers of Excellence in 20 pediatric sub-specialties including cardiology, transplant, psychiatric illnesses and genetic disorders, Children's Center physicians, nurses and staff provide compassionate care to more than 90,000 children each year.

In the Washington and Northern Virginia area, donations will be made to Children's National Medical Center located at 111 Michigan Avenue in Washington, DC. In 1870, Children's Hospital opened its doors to provide health care for the large number of children orphaned by the Civil War. One-hundred-and-thirty years later, they're still the only health system in the region dedicated exclusively to the health care of children. Only now, they do everything from offering regular doctors visits and health education, to curing cancer and healing heart problems. And they do it for children around the world.

In the Pittsburgh area, donations will be made to the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of all children through excellence in patient care, teaching and research. As the only hospital in western Pennsylvania devoted solely to the care of infants, children and young adults, the hospital has been named consistently to several elite lists of pediatric health care facilities. This recognition includes being listed as one of the top 10 children's hospitals in the country by U.S. News and World Report and ranking seventh in funding provided by the National Institutes of Health.
